Before I go into these 6 tips to improve your physical appearance, it’s important that you must keep these three things in mind:
- Love who you are right now
- No matter how much you improve your physical appearance, you’ll never be satisfied until you learn to love who you are at this moment.
- Do it for you
- If you want to improve your physical appearance just to “fit in” or make someone else happy, you are doing it for the wrong reason. Do it for you!
- Be realistic
- Having unrealistic expectations will just cause you frustration. Be realistic about the things you can change. You can’t have a body like the Rock if you are a 5’2” white guy. You can’t wear high fashion clothes like Kim Kardashian if you make minimum wage. Just be realistic.
6 Tips To Improve Your Physical Appearance
1 – Get Sleep
Nothing makes you look worse than a tired face. When you don’t get enough sleep, you get bags under your eyes, and your whole demeanor changes. Aim to get at least 7 – 8 hours a night. Make this a priority.
2 – Drink Plenty Of Water
Drinking plenty of water will help you stay energized and alert. When dehydrated, your internal organs have to work harder and you’ll drag during the day. Your skin will also look much older than what it is. I suggest taking a bottle of water with you everywhere you go. If you are not going to the bathroom every couple of hours or so, you are dehydrated. Look youthful and have lots of energy by drinking plenty of water.
3 – Exercise
You knew this one was coming. Exercise will not only improve your physical appearance, but it will boost your mood, improve your confidence, and increase your self-esteem. All of which will carry over into other areas of your life. Try to sweat every day. Get up a half hour early if you have to so you can fit it in.
4 – Develop A Proper Grooming Routine
Make sure you are properly groomed at all times. 5 – Prepare / Take Care Of Your Clothes
Every time you leave the house, make sure your clothes are decent. That means no holey pants, shirts, or shoes. Don’t walk around with dirty or wrinkled clothes. Take pride in the things that you wear. Take some time every night to prepare your clothes for the day ahead. Iron them and lay them out so they are ready to go. You don’t have to spend any extra money on clothes, just take care of what you have.
6 – Eat Healthy
You don’t have to go on a strict diet, but eating sensibly. Eating greasy burgers and junk food will make you feel crappy on the inside and affect your appearance on the outside. Many people have skin breakouts when eating too much candy and junk food, so try to add some healthy options. Eat clean proteins like chicken and turkey. Eat whole vegetables and consume plenty of fruit. It’s okay to indulge once in a while but it shouldn’t be a habit.
