Habits are the key to success and happiness. Don’t believe me? Ask any successful person you know, and they will tell you they have daily habits that enable them to live the life they live. The following are the habits of successful people. Try to do what they do, and watch your life change for the better.
Habits of Successful People
Tony Robbins has an intense morning ritual. After sitting in his jacuzzi and taking a plunge in his cold pool, he does breathing exercises, practices gratitude, and prays. After this, he fuels up with breakfast and then it’s off to change people’s lives.
Founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg has a simple philosophy; get enough rest, wake up at 8am, and wear the same damn thing every day. That’s right! This billionaire wears the same t-shirt every day because he says he doesn’t want to waste time trying to decide what he should wear. We should take a lesson from this. I’m not saying you should wear the same clothes every day, but don’t spend time on trivial decisions. Spend your time focusing on the most important things.
Founder of the Huffington Post, Arianna wakes up after a night of good sleep and meditates for 30 minutes. She benefits so much from her meditation habit, she offers weekly classes to her employees.
Oprah Winfrey also starts her day out with meditation. She says it prepares her for the daily grind and leaves her feeling happy and joyful.
Does anyone have a more stressful day than a President? Former President Obama got up 2 hours before his first meeting just to make sure he gets his workout in. He also avoids negative reports from his critics. Most people start their day looking at Facebook and reading negative news reports. This gets our day started on the wrong foot. Instead, read inspirational messages and news. Start with my Instagram account. Daily inspiration and motivation every morning!
The Arnold Man starts his day with reading (hopefully nothing negative). After that, he works out for an hour and then has breakfast
Mr. King does the same exact thing every morning to prepare his mind for writing. He has his water or tea first thing. He is seated in his favorite chair between 8am and 8:30am. His papers are arranged the same exact way on his desk. He then has his vitamins and listens to music. King says, “The cumulative purpose of doing these things the same way every day seems to be a way of saying to the mind, you’re going to be dreaming soon.”
These were just several of the habits of successful people. Almost every successful person has habits and daily rituals that get them motivated and ready for the day. Start developing some habits today that will help you live a happy and successful life. Just like them!
